Doc appt. Update!

The doc said Jax's head is realllly low! 

1 cm dilated, 60% effaced.

He measured my "fundus" or the size of my uterus and it was 38 inches! 

And I'm 42 inches around lol!

Dull Cramps, Back pain, Lots of pressure. No contractions yet- so bring it on!!

Week 39!

Weight Gain: 45 lbs

Alright Jax, its time to come out now!! Man I can't wait to meet this little guy!

I can't believe it is physically possible for my belly to stretch to such a gigantic size! And this extra 45 lbs Im carrying around is realllly uncomfortable! 

I have so much discomfort in my right rib cage which makes it hard to breathe sometimes. My hands and feet have been swelling like crazy at night and in the mornings... But I feel like it actually has helped to reduce the amount of sodium I eat. My hands get so swollen and weak in the mornings and the doc said its probably Carpal Tunnel. Its not really that bad though so I'm not going to get the wrist bands or anything unless it gets worse. Heartburn comes and goes... but man when it comes its the worst ever!

I've been a little crampy which I reallyyy hope is my cervix doing something! But I don't want to get too excited yet lol. 

So, really, even though I have some things to complain about, it could be a lot worse... So I feel pretty lucky! 

I went and got an AMAZING pedicure today at Earthbound Beauty! They said there were some pressure points that they would avoid so that they wouldn't put me into labor but I told them to please do put me into labor lol! Unfortunately it didnt work. 

Jax will come when he's good and ready it seems!

We got the labor bags packed and ready with clothes, snacks, camera & Flipcam and batteries! And my friend Rachael who's a Red Cross volunteer double checked our car seat to make sure it was installed nice and tight! So we are sooo ready to go lol!

I really hope this is my last pregnancy blog update!! 

Hopefully I'll be posting pictures of Mister Jax soon!

AZ Maternity Photoshoot

I totally forgot to post some of my maternity pics from when we were out in AZ for the Baby Shower when I was 32 weeks! These ones were my favorite from the photoshoot <3

Week 38!!

Officially Full Term!!! Yay!!! Man I'm so excited that he could come any day!! 

I measured around my waist and I am like 42 inches around lol! I am SO huge. 

I tested negative for Strep B, so that is good! If I was positive they would have to put me on antibiotics once I go into labor but its not really that big of a deal as long as you are treated for it. It is dangerous to the baby because it is a bacteria that lives in the vagina... so when the baby passes through, he could contract it. So no worries there! 

Everything is looking pretty promising! Just a waiting game now! The Dr. says that most women don't start dilating during their first pregnancy until the go into actual labor... So that has been true for me so far! I hope he comes soon though because my back is killing me! 

Oh and one more week of work left! Woohoo!! It feels like Summer vacation is about to start lol! I am so excited!! And I can't wait for all of our family and friends to come out and visit during the next 2 months!

Work Baby Shower!!

The baby shower that the people at work threw me today was awesome!! The food was amazingggg! And I am SUPER excited about the gifts we got! Man we are lucky to have so many people that care about us =)

Week 37 - Coastie Baby Shower!!

Yay!! 

According to some websites Jax is Full Term and could officially pop out any time in the next month! (Other websites say 38 weeks).

Jax is somewhere around 6 pounds and about 19 inches long. I've been a little crampy today but nothing too exciting! Can't wait for my appt on Wednesday!

Today was my baby shower thrown by the amazing Rachel Scrivner and Rachael Thacker!! They did such an amazing job putting it together! The decorations were adorable! 

9 months!!

Week 36

Weight Gain: 38 lbs

Wow 9 months today!! I can't believe it! We are so ready for Jax to get here but still enjoying these last few days to sleep in and enjoy each other. 

Jax weighs about 6 pounds now and is gaining around an ounce a day! He's 18 1/2 inches long or more and definitely taking up a lot of space in there! I can't believe there is enough room for the rest of my organs in there. I've had realllly bad heartburn the past week but Tums work miracles. And my back has been super sore. Last night I felt like I had balloon hands because my hands were so swollen. My feet have been pretty swollen too! I have been drinking a lot of water... but I just can't bring myself to sit down and relax. Today I washed all of the rest of Jax's baby clothes from newborn to 6 months, put all the rest in storage containers and we put the carseat in the car!

Other than that there hasn't really been anything new going on. I am really excited because next Sunday some of the Coastie wives are throwing me a baby shower! My friend Rachel Scrivner is the most amazing party planner ever, so I know its going to be such a blast! I am so lucky to have all the other wives around. I love them all. 

Then Monday my work is throwing me a baby shower too so I can not wait for that either! I'm really excited about all the food that people are bringing! The list is looking pretty awesome haha! 

Soon this car will be covered in cheerios and baby toys I'm sure lol!
