Week 38!!
Officially Full Term!!! Yay!!! Man I'm so excited that he could come any day!!
I measured around my waist and I am like 42 inches around lol! I am SO huge.
I tested negative for Strep B, so that is good! If I was positive they would have to put me on antibiotics once I go into labor but its not really that big of a deal as long as you are treated for it. It is dangerous to the baby because it is a bacteria that lives in the vagina... so when the baby passes through, he could contract it. So no worries there!
Everything is looking pretty promising! Just a waiting game now! The Dr. says that most women don't start dilating during their first pregnancy until the go into actual labor... So that has been true for me so far! I hope he comes soon though because my back is killing me!
Oh and one more week of work left! Woohoo!! It feels like Summer vacation is about to start lol! I am so excited!! And I can't wait for all of our family and friends to come out and visit during the next 2 months!
Anyway- I'll keep you all posted if anything starts happening!
Love ya! Goodnight =)

Week 37 - Coastie Baby Shower!!
Yay!!
According to some websites Jax is Full Term and could officially pop out any time in the next month! (Other websites say 38 weeks).
Jax is somewhere around 6 pounds and about 19 inches long. I've been a little crampy today but nothing too exciting! Can't wait for my appt on Wednesday!
Today was my baby shower thrown by the amazing Rachel Scrivner and Rachael Thacker!! They did such an amazing job putting it together! The decorations were adorable!

9 months!!
Week 36
Weight Gain: 38 lbs
Wow 9 months today!! I can't believe it! We are so ready for Jax to get here but still enjoying these last few days to sleep in and enjoy each other.
Jax weighs about 6 pounds now and is gaining around an ounce a day! He's 18 1/2 inches long or more and definitely taking up a lot of space in there! I can't believe there is enough room for the rest of my organs in there. I've had realllly bad heartburn the past week but Tums work miracles. And my back has been super sore. Last night I felt like I had balloon hands because my hands were so swollen. My feet have been pretty swollen too! I have been drinking a lot of water... but I just can't bring myself to sit down and relax. Today I washed all of the rest of Jax's baby clothes from newborn to 6 months, put all the rest in storage containers and we put the carseat in the car!
Other than that there hasn't really been anything new going on. I am really excited because next Sunday some of the Coastie wives are throwing me a baby shower! My friend Rachel Scrivner is the most amazing party planner ever, so I know its going to be such a blast! I am so lucky to have all the other wives around. I love them all.
Then Monday my work is throwing me a baby shower too so I can not wait for that either! I'm really excited about all the food that people are bringing! The list is looking pretty awesome haha!
Soon this car will be covered in cheerios and baby toys I'm sure lol!

Wednesday's Dr.'s Appt
The Dr said its good to be a boring pregnant lady with nothing out of the ordinary going on!
We listened to the heart beat which is at a good 135 bpm, he measured my fundus which is 36 cm, and could feel that the baby was head down! Looks like we're still good to go! The baby must've just done a big roll the other night instead of a flip which is good!
I asked what the popping noise was and the doc said that it couldn't be the baby's joints yet because theres no way they would already have that arthritic-ness to them. He said most likely its my ribs... but idk, I know what I'm hearing and I beg to differ. But what ever its not a big deal I'm sure.
Sept 8--
Yesterday I stayed up until 1am scrubbing the bathroom, so i don't want to get too excited but I would definitely call that nesting mode! Today I was super tired after work so I haven't done much besides give the dog a bath lol!
And this is really gross but remember this is my "pregnancy" blog and there's bound to be some graphic parts... don't read it if you don't want to hear details.
Anyway, yesterday and today I had some bloody discharge which could've been me losing my "mucous plug" (gag... i know) which could potentially mean that labor is close... or it could just kinda grow back and I could lose it again in a few weeks... so once again I don't want to get excited until contractions are present.

Week 35
Happy Labor Day Weekend!!!
BLAHH.
I feel like a whale!
I put a little hat on my belly if you cant tell what that is lol!
According to my not-completely-accurate baby website, Jax is a little over 18 inches and about 5 1/2 lbs!
By the due date, he will have grown 2 inches and gained 3 pounds!
Oct. 9th is sooo close yet so far... I cant believe only 35 days until the due date!! I've been told that since I am so prepared, he will probably come later than expected lol! But, I'm not in a hurry! I know this discomfort will be gone soon and I will miss his tiny cute little kicks and hiccups. (I probably will forget all about the terrible heart burn, back aches, swollen/sore feet and shortness of breath lol!) I mean really, It could be so much worse... so I should just suck it up and stop complaining lol!
I painted the letters white today! And Garrett is going to paint that crackle paint over it tomorrow! I cant wait to see the finished product!
Disclaimer: I'm not asking for advice on the following story.
We obviously wouldn't put the baby on the floor with the dog...
The other day I laid out 3 different kinds of baby wipes and told garrett to smell and choose his favorite. He chose Huggies which I agreed with, and then I told him to let me rub each one on him and see if it gives him a rash! So as he was running away from me, Memphis chased and bit him!
Im not sure if she was going for the shorts or not, but she left a little mark on his leg!
So I did some research and found that it is incredibly common for dogs to become protective of their pregnant owners. Pregnant women are releasing all kinds of pheromones and hormones that dogs can detect much better than humans can.
It's just so weird! I realized that ever since I have been pregnant she generally listens better too. For example, she started jumping into the bath tub when I told her to since it was getting hard to lift her even though she HATES baths!
Anyway! I cant wait for my first birthing class on Tuesday! I'll let you all know how it goes!
Gotta go- Garrett just made some awesome steak!!
Love you guys! =)
