Heart Beat

Before I forget to write it down...

On Saturday I was laying on the couch and Garrett was using my belly as a pillow and told me he could hear the baby's heartbeat! I didn't believe him at first assuming it was my heartbeat... But then he counted how fast it was beating and it definitely wasn't mine lol! I had just got done running around outside with the dog and so both our heart rates were higher- Jax's was about 180 and mine was like 110 or something.

Also- Memphis has been super over protective of me lately... Me and Garrett were messing around and I whacked him with a wiffle ball bat and Memphis charged at him barking!! I dont know what her deal is but I hope she is protective of Jax too and not jealous! The 4 of us will all adapt to living together eventually so I'm not worried about it. We'll just have to make sure Memphis understands the pecking order.

Week 34

Man every week I feel exponentially bigger!

My ribs have definitely migrated to the side of my body and they are usually the most sore out of anything else! Its harder to sleep at night because there is only one position that I can breathe comfortably in. But overall its not too bad yet. I am really tired most of the time, and, usually, I hate naps because I think they are a waste of the day... But I am learning to love them lol! 

The past few days I have heard a popping sound when Jax moves... Its up near my right ribs so either its his knee/hip popping or its my ribs popping... I haven't quite figured it out! I'm not too worried about it... maybe I'll just start taking a calcium supplement incase it is Jax's joints. But I'll run it by the doctor next week! 

He is still moving a lot despite the fact that he is running out of room in there! He still gets the hiccups a few times a day lol and everything seems to be going very smoothly!! I can't believe we only have 1-1.5 months left!! Its crazy! Me and Garrett have the diaper bag all packed and ready to go! I still just need to order some Newborn diapers. Oh! That reminds me... 

So, my mom ordered me a bumgenius cloth diaper + the diaper inserts so I could check them out and see how I liked them and they turned out to be much more of a hassle than I originally thought. So I am so glad that I got to see one before I ordered a bunch of them. In order to have a full supply of cloth diapers for 2 days I would need about 24 cloth diapers at about $18.00 each (+inserts @ $18.00/6 inserts)... Thats somewhere around $500 to start out. This would definitely save money in the long run... But I decided that I'd rather use disposables and maybe pay a little more for the convenience. I definitely hand it to those moms out there using cloth!

Week 33

Weight gain: 35 lbs

Man its getting crowded in there! I have been pretty uncomfortable the past week. My back, feet and legs have been really sore and its really hard to wake up in the mornings. On top of that I have been sick for over a week and I can't take any meds cuz benadryl makes me pass out so hard lol! I am starting to feel better after getting to sleep in and be lazy today tho.

The due date is getting so close!! I really need to try and suck it up and enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy to the max! It is really amazing having human-being growing inside of you despite how uncomfortable it might get. I also need to soak up the peace, silence and alone time with Garrett these next couple weeks! But its hard not to be so anxious for Jax to get here since everything is almost all ready for him! 

Jax is somewhere around 17 inches and between 4-5 lbs! He gets the hiccups at least once a day and is still constantly moving around and stretching! I think his head is still down from where I am feeling the hiccups. Tomorrow I have another Dr.'s appt so I'll update you all tomorrow night!

Ready To Go!

I know we still have like 5 weeks until I am even full term... but the Jax's room is pretty much ready to go!!! Here are some pics of a lot of cool stuff we got from the shower! I feel so fortunate to already be so prepared! All we need now is a baby!

I'll be full term, or 38 weeks, on Sept. 25 (I originally thought it was 37 weeks).

The swing we got is so awesome because you can take the swing part off and make it into a bouncer... then you can put the car seat in the swing holder and make that the swing lol!

Here's a pic showing how the car seat can be used as the swing and the swing turns into a bouncer!

The swing also has a MP3 connection thing so you can hook up your ipod or anything to it!

Week 32! AZ Baby Shower!!

 Man this weekend was awesome!!! Officially 8 months already! 

Thank you SOOOO much to everyone who helped throw me such an amazing baby shower!! Jax is so lucky to already have so many people who care about him =) 

We got so much awesome stuff and its crazy that there will be a baby in all those clothes and using those toys soon! Me and Garrett are really excited to go shopping tomorrow when we get back to Oregon and get the Stroller, car seat, crib mattress, swing and all the other necessities using the gift cards we got! I really can't thank everyone enough. We are so lucky and blessed to have such amazing families and friends surrounding us.

Once I get some of the baby shower pics I will make a new post! The pirate theme was so adorable! I cant believe all the cute pirate stuff my mom found haha! 

Also Lizzie Kimball did a quick maternity photo shoot for us on Saturday with an AMAZING desert sunset behind us so I cant wait to see how they turn out! Click on her name to see the previews on her blog! They should be up in the next 2 days.

Week 31

Weight Gain: 32lbs

Getting pretty huge! Today the doc said that Jax is head down and he's getting pretty big! After he measured me he said we could easily expect an 8 pound + baby if I go full term... which was expected since I was 8+ and Garrett was 9+! Heart rate sounded good and the doctor said that was really all to do this appt! 

Jax has been so incredibly active this past week! Its rare that I don't feel him stretching or kicking!

The crazy thing is that I'll have an appt in 2 weeks and then I think its once a week after that! We are definitely getting close to D-day. And the first Tuesday in September I start going to Lamaze classes! Hopefully Garrett will be off work for a few of them.

By the way... (I dont want to jinx it) but those the lines on my belly are just lines from layin in bed- no stretch marks on that area yet! I'm hoping that it stays that way but I'm not getting my hopes up yet! Some people say they all of a sudden got them around 39 weeks. And thats probably because the baby is going to more than double its weight in the next 9 weeks! It would be nice if he came out a little early!

I am SOOOO excited for the baby shower this weekend! It is going to be so much fun! I feel like I havent been to AZ for so long! I cant wait to go swimming and get some sun! Hopefully my bikini still fits lol!
