Week 30!

Weight Gain: 30 lbs

Wow only 10 weeks away till the due date!! And 7 until I am full term!

Jax is about 15 inches and 3lbs this week! I am starting to get pretty uncomfortable and I cant eat as much as before since my stomach is so squished lol. But other than that everything's goin pretty smooth! Jax is getting so strong in there! Sometimes he really surprises me with how hard he can kick!

I am sooo excited about the AZ baby shower in 2 weeks! Its going to be so much fun! I'm also super excited that we got the crib and dresser all set up! Woohoo!

Yay!! Jax's room feels practically ready now! Looking at it gets me so excited!!

Thank you so much to Grammy and Grandpa Jordan for the Crib set! It is perfect! 

And thanks to Uncle Mike and Aunt Rachel for letting us use their truck to pick it up too! =)

Week 29

Exactly 2 months and I'll be full term! 11 Weeks until D-day tho!

I feel so lucky because most of the time I barely feel pregnant up until I have to bend over to pick something up lol! Tying my shoes is becoming a challenge but its still possible lol. And I'm at the point where I get super uncomfortable if I eat too much...

My back didn't hurt as much this week either but every single morning as I am waking up I will get charlie horses in my calves! I just need to stay better hydrated and maybe eat some bananas.

This week Jax is about 15 inches and 2.5 - 3 lbs!! When he moves around I can feel if its his foot, head or butt lol! Its so funny and weird! He gets super active around 10pm.. And he'll stretch so I feel feet at one end and the head at the other! I can't wait to meet him!

Week 28!!

Weight Gain = 24-26 lbs

First day of the 3rd TRIMESTER!! WoW! Only 84 days until D-Day!

And technically Jax will be full term on Sept. 18, 2011 (63 days). Man its so crazy how fast it goes! 

Grammy and Grandpa Jordan got Jax his crib this week but we have to wait 1-2 weeks to go pick it up! We were all pretty bummed out cuz we were so excited to see it all set up in the nursery this weekend while they were out here... but pictures will have to do! 

It is such a cool crib and we got a smokin deal on it! So we got the matching dresser + the crib for the original price of JUST the crib! 

The different color stripes come out so both the crib and the dresser will be all white. And then we'll be able to use the dresser as a changing table also! Our nursery is pretty much ready to go with the crib and the rocker! The rest seems like icing on the cake!!

This week Jax is about 14.8 inches and about 2.5 lbs! He has definitely been kicking SOO much stronger this week and I can actually feel his little foot poking out when he stretches lol!! He had the hiccups earlier today and I am pretty sure his head is down and feet are in my right ribs cuz he's definitely able to kick ribs now. But they say his position will change a bunch until he is closer to full term and doesn't have any room to move anymore. 

Apparently he can actually begin to dream now because brain scans have shown REM sleep in babies at this point!

Also- my back has been really sore this week and when I laugh too hard my trapezius muscles start cramping up and one time I was almost crying in pain but laughing at the same time. I have definitely made Garrett my personal masseur lol! I definitely need to work on my posture. My lower back and mid back are pretty bad too, but its not constant. 

Anyway, I am Sooo excited for the baby shower on August 13th!! I can't wait to see all my Arizona family and friends! My mom sent out all the invitations recently so everyone should be getting one soon! It's gonna be so much fun!

Week 27

This week Jax is a little over 14 inches and weighs around 2 pounds! Some websites say that the 3rd trimester starts this week but I am pretty sure it starts at week 28! Man its crazy we are already there!! Only 13 more weeks left! (And technically he'll be considered full-term in 10 weeks)

Jax's hearing is fully developed, he can practice breathing and would be able to cry at this point! He had the hiccups a few times this past week lol! Its so cute. 

He has a 85% chance of survival at this point and 40% chance of medical complications if he was born now. 

He has been moving so much! My stomach looks crazy when he rolls and stretches. And to think he is only 2 pounds! With about 6 pounds to go! 

New nursery Decorations!

Today I went out to buy more fish net and accidentally bought the wrong size but it was still put to good use! I used it to accent the new glass buoys that the Auburn McElvain's got for me and Garrett as a house warming/baby gift!! They look so awesome!! I will add more pics to this blog post soon so you can see what it looks like all together! And I am going to find some fake candles to put into the buoys too! Love it! Week 26 - Happy 4th of July!!

Weight Gain: 21 lbs

So good thing Week 26 was the week I chose to shoot a mirror picture or else the number would have been backwards lol! I can't believe there are only 2 more weeks until I am in my THIRD trimester! Wow! 

This week Jax is about 2 pounds and somewhere around 14 inches long! He is about the size of an eggplant =) 

Last Wednesday I noticed he wasn't moving around as much so I got a little worried, but I decided to give it a couple days until I went to see the doctor. I think everything is fine though because today around lunch time he was hiccuping, twisting and stretching for a while! I read that eventually they don't kick and punch as much because they start getting so crammed in there... So maybe he is just starting to have less room to move around. My next appointment is July 14th so I'll talk to Dr. VerBeek then!

Today I added curtains to Jax's room! 

They need to be ironed or sprayed but we were going for kind of a sailboat-canvas kind of curtain. His room is starting to fill up with stuff so I gotta get that futon out of there and get some kind of dresser! 

This week I also signed up for WIC for when I take Maternity leave and I found out that when I start going back to work they will give me a free breast pump! Those things are like $300! And the lady said they are really good quality. WIC is a pretty awesome program so I'm glad I found out about it!

I've definitely been in nesting mode lately especially when it comes to getting our finances in order! Ask Garrett- I've been like a finance Nazi around here. He's been really awesome at letting me do what I gotta do... and he's so patient when it comes to my emotional breakdowns. I'm so lucky!!
