Week 21!

Weight Gain: 15 lbs

Man my belly has been growing a lot these past 2 weeks!

Jax is about the length of a banana this week! He's about 10.5 inches long and weighs about 12.5 oz.

This weekend was really exciting cuz me and Garrett painted Jax's room! It has 3 green walls and 1 blue wall now.  I cant wait to start actually decorating! We have so many awesome ideas. Feel free to email me any "Nautical/ Sea animal" decorating ideas you might have!

This week the Jax's taste buds are developed and they say that what I eat now can determine what he may like later. 

Next week he'll be about a pound already! And his hearing will be a lot more acute. 

I went to see Dr. VerBeek for the first time this week and I really liked him. He asked me if I had felt any uterine contractions at all yet because it is pretty normal. I hadn't that I knew of but then this weekend I noticed it. I think it was because I hadn't been drinking a lot of water. Its so weird when my whole stomach gets super hard like that! 

Jax has definitely been kicking a lot harder too! I love feeling the kicks because it reassures me that he is strong and healthy! <3 

Me and Garrett are goin on a cruise next week! I'm so excited!! =) The final fling with just the two of us lol.

Week 20!!

Half Way!! Wow!

Today the baby is about the size of a Cantaloupe! 

Around 10 inches and 10 oz. 

Garrett felt the baby move for the first time this past Friday (5/20/11) which was awesome! 

I noticed that the past couple days he has been kicking a lot stronger and a lot more often lol but I love it! 

Its so cool knowing that we are having a little boy!! Now we can officially start decorating and buying boy stuff!! <3 

Since we decided that if it was a boy Garrett would get to choose how to decorate the nursery he decided to do a Nautical kind of Pirate/ sea creature theme. I am so excited =) 

I'm going to start making the registry tonight too so I will post the link on here later! 

So the big decision now is the name... 

We still haven't come to an agreement but it seems to be narrowed down to either Jax David Jordan or Jameson David Jordan. (I like Jax and Garrett likes Jameson) but we still have another couple months to decide =)

ITS A.......

BOYYYYY!!!

Aww man it was soooo cool to see him moving around in there! He was such a wiggler the whole time! It is such a relief to know that everything looks perfect. 2 arms, 2 legs, great spine, lips, brain, heart, kidneys, bladder. Its so amazing that all his parts came together so perfectly so far! 

I can't wait to meet him! 

Me and Garrett still haven't agreed on a name but I will let you know when we do =) 

Week 19

This week the baby is about 6 inches and around 8.5 ounces!

 The size of a Mango!

It practices breathing and, in effect, swallows amniotic fluid on a regular basis which it then processes with its kidneys and then pees it out and then swallows again I guess lol!

Its covered with a fine hair called "lanugo" and a petroleum-jelly like substance called "vernix." The Vernix protects the baby's skin from the harsh alkaline amniotic fluid. It will lose the hair and most of the vernix around the time of birth.

Its teeth are established beneath the gums and permanent teeth are forming behind them.

Next week they start measuring the baby from head to feet instead of head to rump so there will be a significant jump in size to 10 inches! 

This past week I started actually being able to see the baby move in my stomach! If you are patient enough you can see a little movement! Its so crazy! And its weird because Garrett hasn't been able to feel it yet but you can totally see it! Its definitely getting stronger! Its so awesome =) I love feeling it in there!

Its actually going crazy right now as I type lol! 

This week I had to reschedule my doctors appt... ughhh... so I have to wait even longer for an ultra sound. I am going to find out when I can make the ultra sound appt this Friday! Im so impatient!! I want to know already. The good thing about waiting longer is the baby will be more developed and it will be easier to tell what the sex is. =)

Week 18! Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day!! 

This week the baby is on average 5.6 inches long and about 5-6 ounces! 

About the size of a grapefruit <3

It can yawn, hiccup, swallow, kick, punch, twist and even suck its thumb. 

Its been moving like crazy and a lot of the time I'll feel it move around lunch time and 10-11pm!

 Its so freakin cute. =)

Last weekend Garrett bought the baby the cutest little blue onesie with a little matching bear beanie... He was apparently shopping for a boy lol! And today my friend Rachel and I went to the outlets and she pointed out that every store we went to I would instantly go to the baby boy clothes. Could it be subconscious?  ... Or that I just really like baby boy clothes lol! 

We'll find out soon!!

I want to find a cute way to surprise every one... but there's no way Garrett will be able to hold it in long enough. Im sure he'll be on the phone the second we know haha! But we'll see! I'll be 20 weeks May 22nd so I'll hopefully be able to schedule my ultrasound soon! 

Other than that the only symptoms I've been having at all this week is my back being kinda sore but nothing too bad. My pants don't really button anymore either so its a good thing my friend Xep gave me the Belly band! Its definitely coming in handy.

week 17

Weight Gain: 10 lbs

Sorry I was super busy this weekend so I had to just snap a quick picture! lol (As you can see through the window we had some awesome sun this weekend too)

This week the baby is about 5 ounces and just over 5 inches long!! 

I'm still feeling little movements in there every once in a while! Im excited for them to keep getting stronger. Around 20 weeks I'll be able to hear the baby's heart beat with a stethoscope so Im excited about that too!  

Anyway... thats about all. Definitely been more emotional this week but i'm trying hard to not let it get to me. My face is still breaking out pretty bad but not as bad as the beginning so hopefully thats over with. 

Also, I think I've gained somewhere around 8-10 pounds which is probably a little more than I need but I'm not too worried about it yet. I'm still eating well and I'm sure it has to do with me eating out more since we've had so much (awesome) company the past month or 2.
